Over the last few weeks, Google released a set of interesting new features for both Drive mobile apps and Google Plus. Here is a brief overview of the  new features that have been added to mobile Drive. And in case you haven’t already done it, it is advisable that you complete a simple Security Checkup to ensure that your Google account is fully protected.

1- Sharing notifications
With this new update you will start receiving notifications on your iOS or Android devices each time a file or a folder is shared with you and ‘a single tap can take you right to them.’

2- Request and grant file access
Drive Android app  made it super easy for file recipients to request access from file owners with a single tap. When a recipient asks for access to a shared filed, the owner gets an instant notification of the request.

3- Preview files without a Google account on Android
With this new update, users who don’t have a Google account can view shared files on Android.

4- Back up your WhatsApp to your Drive
This feature which was released last moth allows users of WhatsApp on Android   to create a ‘private backup of your chat history, voice messages, photos, and videos in Google Drive. And once you do, you can restore everything on a new device with just a couple taps.’
